Subject:- CSS COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION, 2008 -NUMBER OF VACANCIES TO BE ALLOCATED TO OCCUPATIONAL GROUPS/SERVICES ON THE BASIS OF PRESCRIBED
PROVINCIAL/REGIONAL AND WOMEN’S QUOTA.

No. F.2/20/2008-CE. In pursuance of Rule 22 of the Rules for Competitive Examination, 2008 (bearing No. F.2-1/2008-CE, dated the 23rd November, 2007 ), it is announced for general information that the number of vacancies, including carried over vacancies, to be filled on the basis of the final result of the said Examination and according to the Government policy on

Note:
(i) 445 vacancies include 115 carried vacancies
(ii)Allocation against 10% reserved quota for women candidates will be made to the Services/Groups against the share of their Provinces/Regions, except merit quota. In case qualified women candidates are not available, the unfilled vacancies will be carried forward.
2. In addition to the above mentioned vacancies, 05 vacancies of Assistant Commissioner-cum-Assistant Collector in the Income Tax-cum-Central Excise and Sales Tax/Excise and Taxation Department under Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council Secretariat belong to AJK Government and are also to be filled from candidates having domicile of AJK on the basis of Competitive Examination, 2008.
3. Above distribution of vacancies has been made keeping in view the plus/minus fraction of the last year’s examination and carried over vacancies have been added in the respective Groups of the concerned Provinces/Regions.

4. Allocation of candidates to the Service/Occupational Group, will be made keeping in view the suitability or unsuitability of the candidates as determined by the Commission, the merit position, preference of the candidates and the quota of Provinces/Regions/Women as set out in the Rules for Competitive Examination, 2008.

5. The Government, however, reserves the right to fill a smaller or a larger number of vacancies than those indicated in para 1 above.
